Gas Expansion Simulator

How It Works

This simulator demonstrates Charles' Law: as temperature increases, gas expands (volume increases). When heated, gas molecules move faster and push the piston upward. When cooled, molecules slow down and the piston drops, decreasing volume.

Click the HEAT button to increase temperature by 5°C or the COOL button to decrease temperature by 5°C. Watch how the piston moves and the gas particles respond!

Charles' Law: V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂ (where T is in Kelvin)
